Why floors fail here, and what we do about it

Florida is hard on concrete. The water table pushes moisture up through the slab, the humidity works on the bond, the UV yellows a cheap top coat, and the heat swings between an air-conditioned interior and a July afternoon. Most epoxy failures are not workmanship — they are a system that was never built for this.

So every floor we install is the same four layers, whether it is a single garage or a warehouse:

1. Diamond grind. Mechanical prep, never acid etching. This is what gives the coating something to bond to, and it is the step cheap jobs skip.
2. Moisture vapour barrier. A 100% solids barrier against the slab moisture that lifts a floor two summers later. We test before we quote.
3. Base and decorative layer. 100% solids epoxy, with full-broadcast flake, metallic pigment or graded aggregate.
4. Polyaspartic top coat. UV-stable and chemical-resistant. Walk on it in 24 hours, drive on it in 72.

Every space fails differently — a lanai has UV and storm water to survive, a warehouse has forklifts, a commercial bathroom has sanitiser and a slip-liability problem. Start with the one closest to your project.

Flake flooring is the everyday workhorse — slip-resistant, scratch-resistant, and the only system we publish an open price for. Metallic flooring is the one people stop and look at: pigments that self-organise during application into a pattern no other floor will ever repeat.

Most residential projects are finished in one to two days. Commercial work runs after hours or zone by zone so you do not close.

What you get in writing

Every premium system we install carries a written limited lifetime warranty against de-lamination and adhesion failure, for as long as you own the property. Read the warranty — including what it does not cover, which is the part most companies leave you to find out later.
